Donald Kentworth Schuerman was born August 8, 1929 in Sedalia, MO a son to Theodore Herman and Mary (nee Birkenbile) Schuerman. He died September 19, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City, MO. He is survived by his wife Katie (nee Wehmeyer) who he married November 21, 1948; a son Mike (Carol) Schuerman, De Soto; a daughter Tonya (Mark) Horne, De Soto; a brother Gene (Mary) Schuerman, Dallas, TX; a sister Marilyn (Clifford) Robertson, Granite City, IL; grandsons Ben, Jeff, and Kori Schuerman; a granddaughter Kirbi Hampton; and great grandsons Riley and Jacob Hampton. Also surviving is the beloved family pet Fannie. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son Tim Schuerman. Mr. Schuerman and his wife owned and operated the Twist and Dip Ice Cream Parlor, Suburbia Country Club, and the Century 21 Real Estate companies in De Soto and had also owned and operated a Dairy Queen and Don’s T.V. in Ste. Genevieve. Mr. Schuerman was a member of the Board Of Realtors, AmVets Post #48, B.P.O.E. #689, and had been awarded his 50 year pin from the Masonic Lodge #119 A.F. & A.M. The Reverend Dr. G. Michael Rose will officiate the service. The burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto. |
