David Wallace was born May 25, 1931 in Linton, Kentucky; a son to Samuel and Lydia (nee Hargis) Wallace. He died Feb 25, 2011 in De Soto at the age of 79. He is survived by his children, Craig (Deborah) Wallace of Redford, MI; Dennis (Diane) Meyer of De Soto, MO, Edmond (Sandy) Timson of Arnold, MO; and Kenneth (Pam) Nappier of Bonne Terre, MO; and Carol (Danny) McGuire of Doe Run, MO; grandchildren, Rachelle, Ann, Emily, Mandy, Daina, Darren, Troy, Lydia, Kelly, Brett, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Katie, Emil, Matthew, Darren, Zachary, Sam, Kenny, Benny, Gary, and Blake; and dear friend Cona Franks. He is preceded in death by his parents; two wives: Helen (nee Armstrong) Wallace and Mary (nee Massey) Wallace; sisters: Marvee Wallace, Charlene Downs, and Hazel Bryant; and brothers: Clarence, Owen, and Leon Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a commercial construction contractor, implement dealer, property manager, and farmer. He was a member of B.P.O.E. #689, AmVets Post #48, George Sutton Memorial V.F.W. Post #1831, and De Soto Lodge #119 AF and AM. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
