Barbara J. Huck

Barbara Jeanine Huck was born June 26, 1936 in Plattin, MO. She was the daughter of Harold Frederick and Irene (nee Turley) Genrich. She died on February 4, 2025 at her rural De Soto home at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, Debi (Bobby) Fechser, De Soto, MO; Jordan Huck, Las Vegas, NV and Mark “Moke” (Kelly) Huck, Grand Cayman Island; grandchildren, Christopher (Wren) Fechser, Daniel (Jasmine) Fechser and Rachel (Brett Fellows) Fechser; great-grandchildren, Benny Jane, Maya Joy and one on the way; sister-in-law,  Zelpha Genrich, Crystal City, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Thomas Huck; sister, Helen (Norman) Rudloff and brother Harold Gene Genrich. She was a member of the D. A. R. and the Teamsters Union.  Barb had retired as a P.B.X. operator for the Las Vegas Hilton and moved back to De Soto to help care for her elderly mother and aunt and uncle and became interested in genealogy.  She had a gift for designing and building custom homes.  She liked being at home watching her bird feeders and enjoying the beauty of nature.  She liked anything you cooked for  her and upon meeting her you would immediately discover her happy spirit and friendly nature.
