George Stephen “Beeper” Dickinson was born May 26, 1952 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Paul and Vivian (nee Lucas) Dickinson. He died on May 1, 2020 at his residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon (nee Lambert) Dickinson, De Soto, MO; siblings, Kenneth (Tillie) Dickinson, De Soto, MO; Rick (Jennifer) Dickinson, McKinney, TX; Debi (Mike) Roussin, Peoria, IL; Joyce Vega, Parrish, FL; Betty (Matt) Eddings, Bonne Terre, MO; and Dale (Anita) Tomlinson, De Soto, MO; brothers & sisters-in-law, Frances Earline Smith, Onalaska, TX; Gary (Tammy) Lambert, Nocona, TX; Melinda (Keith) Moore, Burnsville, MS; and Michael (Shelly) Lambert, Rienzi, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Ina Jean Dickinson; sister, Angela Stone; step-son, Elvin Harris; sister-in-law, Clista Marie Hollinsworth; two brother-in-laws, Calvin Coolidge Lambert and Jerry Lee Lambert. Steve worked on the family dairy farm; worked for Fred Weber Construction and Crump Construction; and retired from Smitty’s Home Decorating, De Soto, MO. After his retirement he and his wife Sharon owned and operated Dickinson Cleaning Service. He served in the Missouri National Guard; was a member of AmVets Post #48; B.P.O.E. Elks #689; Knights of Columbus #1185; and he was a graduate of St. Pius X High School.
