Max Edward Thost, Jr.

Max Edward “Ed” Thost,  Jr. was born in Fertile on April 23, 1947 a son to Lucille Marie (nee Moss) and Max Edward Thost, Sr. He died on December 2, 2018 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 71.  He is survived by his daughter: Melissa (Steve) Miller, De Soto; two granddaughters: Destiny Miller and Jennifer (Jeremy) Thornton.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Mary Ann (nee Warden) Thost; an infant grandchild; and two sisters: Linda Valle Schneider and Helen Sansoucie.  He had worked for Union Camp which had become International Paper when he retired and then went on to retire as a custodian for the Fox School District.  He was a Star Trek fan and enjoyed model trains.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; P.O.
