Joseph B. Williamson

Joseph Bernard Williamson was born September 28, 1946 in Crystal City, MO. He was the son of John and Lucille (nee Yates) Williamson. He passed on February 22, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (nee Dickinson) Williamson, De Soto, MO; one son, Joe Williamson, French Village, MO; one daughter, Jill (George “Tony”) Carron, Omaha, NE,; four grandchildren: Kameron Holmes; Kyleigh Williamson, Hannah Carron, and Sarah Carron; four brothers: John (Lucille) Williamson, El Paso, TX; Jerry (Brenda) Williamson, Festus, MO; James Williamson, De Soto, MO; and JayCee Williamson, Independence, MO; Two Brother-in-laws: George (Cindi) Dickinson, DeSoto, MO; Robert “Bob” Dickinson, DeSoto, MO; One Sister-in-law: Vicky (Paul “Doug”) Backer, DeSoto, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Carol Williamson, and Gail Williamson; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Dickinson.
Joe served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam where he received among other commendations The Soldier’s Medal; he was a member of Carpenters Local #2214; 3rd degree member of K of C #1185; and VFW Post #1831; he enjoyed the history channel, fishing, hunting, and baseball.
