Mary Jane Weaver was born on March 12, 1928 in Hillsboro, MO. She was the daughter of Wenzel and Bessie (nee Match) Hlava. She died on August 8, 2017 at deGreef Hospice House in St. Louis County, MO at the age of 89.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Phyllis) Weaver of Arnold, MO and Diane (Doug) Pluth of Roach, MO; grandchildren, Stephanie (Capt. Derric, USN) Turner and Phillip (Jackie) Weaver; and one great grandchild, Henry “Hank” Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oscar Edward Weaver, Jr.; and siblings, Charlie Hlava, Emily Cross, Willie Hlava, Elbie Birdsong, and Frank Hlava.
She was an active member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, worked with the Hillsboro Food Pantry, was a quilter in several groups and enjoyed working around her Hillsboro home, canning, and and making jellies and jams. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Hillsboro Food Pantry or the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
