Paula Jeanne Coffey was born September 17, 1944 in Florence, SC a daughter to Franklin and Iva Mae (nee Reid) Carter. She died November 8, 2014 at the Parkland Health Center at the age of 70. She is survived by her husband who she married on December 20, 1980: Donald Coffey, Sr., Terre du Lac; one daughter: Donna Eppler, Springfield; four step-children: Wanda “Bittie” (John) Peters, De Soto, Sharleen (Mike) Peters, Bonne Terre, Donald Coffey Jr., Bonne Terre, and Kathy Wilson, Richmond, KY; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother: Frank (Pat) Carter, Festus, three nephews; and a sister-in-law: Chris Carter, Imperial. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother: John Carter; and one sister: Joyce Conners. She had worked for Bel Tex until her retirement. Paula was a volunteer for the Bowling Green, KY Public Library where she often lead the Children’s Reading Hour, one of the founders of the Estill County (KY) Homemakers Club, and a member of the Kentucky Friends of Bluegrass. Upon retiring from their Irvine Kentucky farm Paula and Don moved to Terre du Lac. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
