Billy Gene Pannebecker was born August 24, 1931 in Marble Creek, MO. He was the son of Dallas Greene and Golda Mae (Thompson) Pannebecker. He died on July 17, 2014 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital-St. Louis at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, Lois (nee Bliss) Pannebecker, De Soto; his children: Melody (Tony) Knollhoff, Union, and Dawn (Kenneth) Westhoff, De Soto, Kathy (Richard) Winkler, Festus, Terri Cordia, Gray’s Summit, and Paul (Rita) Cordia Jr., Jefferson City; one sister, Virginia (Bob) Knapp, Sullivan, MO; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Norma (nee Bird) Pannebecker; one brother, Roy Pannebecker, Sr., and granddaughter, Aimee Lewis. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean War. He worked for Kroger Grocery Store in De Soto and retired from the De Soto City Street Department. He was a tremendous gardener and know for the impressive manner in which he decorated his home for Christmas.
