Wanda Stevens

Wanda A. Stevens was born February 13, 1947 in Bernie, MO a daughter to Wanda (nee Riddle) and James Hampton, Sr. She died July 6, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center at the age of 66. She is survived by her children: Margarette Ross, Affton, Mary Hill, Farmington, Marcia Baum, De Soto, Michelle Western, Steelville, Michael (Brenda) Baum, Steelville, and Mark (Amanda) Rouse, Jefferson City; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters: Jeanie Pyatt, Gumbo, MO, Mary Richards, Success, MO, Cathy Waltz, Atlanta, GA, Shirley (Mike) Casey, Japan, and Linda (John) Brazeal, Arnold, MO; one brother: James (Helen) Hampton, Jr., St. Louis, MO; and dear friends and caregivers Barbara Cotham and Alan Keefe of Festus. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law David Waltz. She had worked as a nurse for Gibb’s Care Center and enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and barbeques. Rev. Dan Roberts of the Beacon Baptist Church will officiate the Memorial Service. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
