Verlin Wayne Fishback was born on October 28, 1938 in St. Patrick, MO. He was the son of Edward and Margaret (nee Boudreau) Fishback. He died on July 24, 2023 at Mercy South in St. Louis, MO at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jean A. Fishback of Hillsboro; his children, Paula (William) Peatross of Jonesburg, MO; James (JoAnn) Ringo of Potosi, MO; Theresa (Vincent) Coleman of Festus, MO; Dale (Cathy) Ringo of Hillsboro, MO; Edward (Carolyn) Fishback of Hillsboro, MO; and son-in-law, Bruce Spahn of Hillsboro, MO; 15 grandchildren, Jean (David) Pape, Chris Peatross, Fay Peatross, Wesley (Lagaila) Peatross, Sarah (Brian) Jolly, Meghan (Tom) Hernandez, Dylan Ringo, Colin Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Tanalyn (Barath) Iyer, Nathan (Edith) Voyles, Kat (Kevin) Smith, Dannielle (Brian) Kneip, Edie Grubbs, and Ian Fishback; 28 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emmy, Alex, Victoria, Walker, Gabby, Jesse, Jenna, Taylor, Hunter, Leah, Wyatt, William, Madeleine, Haley, Garrett, Aidan, Enzo, Bowie, River, Zachria, Samantha, Claudia, Marshall, Robbi, Echo, Liberty, and Bria; 5 great-great-grandchildren, James, Mavrick, Ariel, Bexley, and Elliott; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Wilma Kennedy, Phyllis Fishback, Mary Lucille (Rex) Hodges, and Velma Sederwall, one daughter, Debbie Voyles, grandson, Matthew Ringo, great-granddaughter, Jordan Jolly, and great-great-nephew, Dawson.
Verlin was an accountant, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was also a member of AmVets Post #48, VFW Post #1831, American Legion Post 253, and BPOE #689.
