Russell J. Woolem was born March 10, 1923 in Ironton, MO. He was the son of Jess and Ollie (nee Hampton) Woolem.  He died on September 6, 2011 in Park Hills, MO at the age of 88 years 5 months 27 days. He is survived by several Step-Children; grandson, Jamie Lockwood, Festus, MO; several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sadie Woolem; siblings, Norman Halbrook, Alvin Woolem, Melvin Woolem, Zola McCloskey, Opal Whited, and Pauline Hair. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII earning 3 Bronze Stars; he was also a member of Teamsters Local 600; AmVets; VFW; Missippi River Eagles; and De Soto Senior Center.
