Rudolph A. “Rudy” Belleville was born in De Soto on January 13, 1925 a son to Rudolph R. and Justine (nee Turley) Belleville. He died on August 22, 2014 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 89. Upon returning home from serving in the Army Medical Corps during World War II he married Doris Grobe on August 3, 1946 in Crystal City. Rudy worked until his retirement at Pittsburgh Plate Glass and he also enjoyed his rural De Soto farm. He is survived by his two sons: David (Pam) Belleville, Imperial and Gary (Mary Jean “Jeanie”) Belleville, De Soto; five grandchildren: Eric (Jennifer) Belleville, Denise (Jarrod) Kincaid, John (Melissa) Belleville, Doug (Kathy) Belleville, and Kimberly (Alan) Bess; and seven great- grandsons. Following Doris’ passing Rudy married Velma (nee Shelton) who survives along with her daughters: Shara (James) Denson, Peoria, IL, Jeanne (David) DeGonia, Potosi, Julie (Dan) Potter, Troy and the late Paula Nardoni; ten grandchildren as well as a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the De Soto Historical Society or in the form of masses.
