I will remember you as a very warm and friendly person. Your life will live on through the many friends and family members left to walk in this life.

You always had a smile when we would visit, in later years as I'd pull up on the motorcycle you came up to the fence and recognized me as if you saw me everyday.
You were a hard working man that did what needed to be done to do it right the first time.
You influinced me more that most of the male adults in my life, and I thank you for being a part of my life.

I remember how hard the work was on his dairy farm even though as a teenager I only help out a few summers.
Also remember how good the fresh cold milk was after coming out of the tank -50 cents a gallon I think.....no telling how many gallon's his herds produced over the years.

We will not be attending the services for Uncle Oliver but our prayers and thoughts are with each family member; especially, Aunt Bernice. She is going to miss him as will all of us who knew him and loved him for what he was a kind, patient and gentle man. He was a counsellor and friend to some of us when needed.
I remember when Uncle Oliver first taught me to drive the Old WC ALLIS CHAMLERS tractor. I was about 10 or 11 years old and it happened right out in front of his house across the road from where the gas tanks were located. Remember during the WW II war years farmers had to buy tractor gas on government coupons and had to have a place to store the fuel until the next delivery.

Grandpa,
What do I say...I loved you dearly. You were a huge part of my upbringing. We shared many mornings and evenings together at the barn. I enjoyed every bit of it, even those that were 20 below zero when I would run into the other room to thaw my toes out on the heater! The smell of the barn and fresh cut hay and watching you scoot along on the tongue between the tractor and the wagon.
You finished your life in a way that was inspiring. You thought of others before yourself. You always had a smile. You always made sure that we knew you loved us. You always were kind in word and manner even when you did not feel well.
My my most treasured memory was from last month when you were sitting in the living room next to grandma and you would take grandma's hand and give it a kiss and tell her "I love you".
We love you and will miss you greatly but I know that we will see each other again. Until then.
Love
Dawn

Dear Aunt Bernice:
When Dad (Glen Huskey) called me to tell me the news, these words come to mind when I think of you and Uncle Ollie: solid, good humor, hard working, reliable. I rejoice with you in celebrating the memories of Uncle Ollie's life. He was the rock that held a house of Huskey together.
I also remember you as being the other half of him, Aunt Bernice. My prayers go with you and your children.
Blessings

My Uncle Ollie was the kindest man I've ever known. I could hardly wait for school to let out to spend time with Uncle Ollie and Aunt Bernice. He tought me respect and care for people, which carried on into my career as a Deputy. He never refused our visits, loved each of us cousins as if we were his own child. He will be grately missed. My Uncle Ollie and Aunt Bernice showed us the best example of a true and lasting love.
