Nathan Maurice “Nate” Myers was born July 19, 1953 in LaPorte, IN. He was the son of the late George B. III and Dorothy (nee Meek) Myers. He died on August 6, 2020 at his De Soto home at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Irene (nee Gunnett) Myers, De Soto, MO; two sons, James Hasty, De Soto, MO and John (Regina) Hasty, De Soto, MO; siblings, Lurinda McNabb, George “Butch” (Shirley) Myers, IV, and Ina (John) Peach; grandchildren, Joshua and Alicia Hasty and Cynthia (Danny) Bowers; great-grandchildren, Alex, Stacy, Hunter, Pamela, Buck, and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rex Myers and David Myers; one sister, Edith Olmstead; one great grandchild, Isabella Grace and cousins, Mickey Buthler and Mike and Terri Monken (her kids). Nate had retired from the De Soto Parks Department and Antonio Fire Protection District. He currently served on the Valle Ambulance Board of Directors and the De Soto Rural Fire Department Board of Directors.
