Maxine Lorene Wideman was born at Goose Creek in Washington County on November 16, 1925 a daughter to John and Kathleen (nee Casey) Bliss.  She died at Crystal Oaks Assisted Living in Festus on May 12, 2019 at the age of 93.  She is survived by three children: Linda (Terry) Schoenig, Hillsboro, Regina (Teddy) Mayfield, St. Louis, and Al (Margaret) Wideman, Hillsboro; eight grandchildren: Lisa (Matt) Easter, Jason (Becky) Schoenig, Scott (Babette) Schoenig, Stephanie (Garrett) Schlett, Steven (Helen) Mayfield, Robert (Tricia) Wideman, Glenn (Allie) Wideman, and Neil Wideman; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister: Lois Cordia Pannebecker, De Soto; two sisters-in-law: Jean Bliss (Junior) Knight, De Soto and Norma Jean Bliss, St. Clair, a brother-in-law: Ted Blair, De Soto; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Steven “Pete” Wideman; one sister: Verna Blair; three brothers: Wayne Bliss, Sr., Clifton Bliss, Sr., and Tosca Bliss; a sister-in-law Geneva Bliss and brothers-in-law: Paul Cordia, Sr. and Billy Pannebecker.  Maxine was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and  Chapter #71 O.E.S. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 460 North Lindbergh, St. Louis, MO  63141 or the American Cancer Society, 4215 Lindell, St. Louis, MO  63108.
