- Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Journey Community Church, 820 N. Main St., De Soto, MO
- Service: Thursday at 6:00 pm from the Journey Community Church officiated by Rick Pirtle
- Graveside Service: Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:15 am at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Funeral Procession will form at the Journey Community Church at 9:00 am.
Marilyn Jean “Bam” Tripp was born on November 30, 1943 in Little Rock, AR a daughter to Doyle and Margueryte (nee Phillips) Fooks. She died at her De Soto home on April 29, 2024 at the age of 80. She is survived by he children: Angela (Darryl) Carron, French Village, Kevin (Dina) Tripp, Bloomsdale and Jeff (Michelle) Tripp, De Soto, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren with one on the way and two brothers: Gary Fooks, Indigo Circle, FL and Ron Fooks, Apopka, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents; her step mother Ona Mae Fooks; her husband Darrell D. “Sammy” Tripp; one son Keith Tripp; one granddaughter Camryn “Cam” Tripp and one brother Steve Fooks. Marilyn had retired from Union Pacific Railroad where she worked as a systems analyst.
