So very sorry for your loss. Mrs, Fitzgerald was a tremendous 4th grade teacher! She was kind, encouraged my love of reading, and her weekly vocabulary program was hugely impactful for a future lawyer. I'm 52, and sometimes when I say or write a vocab word from her class I think of her and remember learning it there. It has been 40 years and she still crosses my mind with some frequency. Terrific teacher and a terrific impact! (And Mr. Fitzgerald was also a lovely man and great principal).
