Joan Theresa Tramel was born in St. Louis on March 27, 1941 a daughter to Clemons and Dorothy (nee Yates) Foppe. She died on July 12, 2020 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 79. She is survived by her children: Bob (Gayle) Harlan, Fenton, Penny (Brian) Alphin, Lone Jack, Lynn (Mason) Wann, Barnhart, Tammy (Joseph) King, De Soto, and Denise (Kevin Benton) Phelps, Festus, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters: Nancy (Steve) Calahan, Camdenton, Pam Favazza, St. Louis, Co., and Sandy Foppe, Arnold; two brothers: Albert (Maryann) Foppe, St. Louis, Co., and Raymond (Sue) Foppe, St. Charles; and a brother-in-law William Speck, Oakville. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oliver “Bud” Tramel; a granddaughter, Molly Hardin; great-granddaughter, Berkeley Alphin; a sister Mary Lou Speck, two brothers: Robert Foppe and Mark Foppe; and a brother-in-law James Favazza. Joan was a member of Oakville Eagles Auxiliary #4422. She enjoyed collecting items that depicted elephants and going to the casino.
