James Ulysses Forrest was born August 14, 1926 in Clay County, AR. He was the son Edward “E.W.” Watson Forrest and Albirdy Sue Alice Jane (nee Hopkins) Forrest Eaton. He passed on July 25, 2019 at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto, MO at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his children, Dana (William) Collier, Valdosta, GA; Mary (Jack) Atkins, De Soto, MO; and Jimmy (Patty) Forrest, Wentzville, MO; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Joyce (nee Gray) Forrest; siblings, Dewey Forrest, Ora Forrest, Omer Forrest, Bulah Hogeland, and Lilly Williams. James was a U.S. Army veteran during WWII. He worked as an inspector at McDonnell Douglas; and was a member of Machinists Local #837.
