Irmalee J. Mahn was born in De Soto on July 12, 1926 a daughter to Clara (nee Knauer) and Albert Ritterbusch.  She died at her De Soto home on June 22, 2024 at the age of 97.  She is survived by her daughter Lee Mahn, De Soto; two sons: Mike (Ginny) Mahn,  Battle Ground, IN and Mark (Alexandra) Mahn, De Soto; eight grandchildren: Jake Hertenstein, Ross Hertenstein, Ben (Candice) Mahn, Jason (Lexie) Mahn, Nick (Emily) Mahn, Stephanie (Jim) Cook, Connor (Sydney) Mahn and Grant (Rylee Venturo) Mahn; six great grandchildren: Olivia, Anniston, Will, Ronan, Wren and Logan and a daughter in law Beverly Mahn. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband William J. Mahn, Sr. and a son William J. Mahn,  Jr.  After graduation from high school Irmalee went to Illinois Shurtleff Girls College in Alton, IL and Washington University. She began her teaching career at Grandview School and retired as an elementary school teacher in the De Soto School District.  She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, P.E.O. Chapter IX , and a local Bridge Club.  Irmalee enjoyed spending time working in her gardens and worked as a volunteer with the Fletcher House.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1004 Rock Road, De Soto, MO  63020, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105, Heifer International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR or the De Soto Public School District Lunch Program, 610 Vineland School Road, De Soto, MO  63020.
