Faye Adele Owen was born on September 12, 1918 in Sedgewickville, MO. She was the daughter of William D. and Hannah (nee Green) Mayfield. She died on March 29, 2014 at Baisch Nursing Home in De Soto, MO at the age of 95.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Joella) Owen of De Soto; Robert “Bob” (Tina) Owen of De Soto; and Donna (Tom) Patterson of Monett, MO; one brother, Carl Mayfield of Sedgewickville, MO; 7 grandchildren, Amy, Suzanne, Michael, Jeff, Josh, Jennifer and Marissa; and 12 great grandchildren; also one sister-in-law, Glenda Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Charles Owen; two brothers, Zelma “Tamp” Mayfield and Earl Mayfield; and a sister, Fern Johnston.
Faye was united in marriage to Dr. Charles Owen on November 27, 1945. She was a devoted wife and mother; and with 68 years of membership she was one of the oldest members of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church.
