Ethel Louise Sampson was born September 19, 1939 in Williamsville, MO. She was the daughter of Ezra Williams and Mildred (nee Johnson) Williams Childress. She died on December 26, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, MO. She is survived by her husband, Patrick G. “Jake” Sampson, Bonne Terre, MO; daughters, Renee (Jeff) Brown, Horseshoe Bend, AR and Stephanie (Matthew) Mayer, Arnold, MO; grandchildren, Christopher Jackson, Fredericktown, MO, Tanya (Joshua) Jackson, Pacific, MO; Jennifer (Andrew) Cook, St. Peters, MO; Benjamin (Anna) Mayer, Festus, MO; Matthew Jr. (Ashley) Mayer, Arnold, MO; Andrew (Sara) Mayer, Imperial, MO and Sarah (Chris) McCollum, High Ridge, MO; great-grandchildren, Mallory Hall, Gavin Hall, Lilly Hall, Andrew (Mary) Cook, Jr., Blake Cook, Chase Cook, Payton Fenwick, Lane Mayer, Nash Fenwick, Matthew Mayer, III, Eden Mayer, Juniper Mayer, Alivia Mayer, Hadley Mayer and Carter McCollum; and one sister Josephine Pettit, Dexter, MO; two brother-in-laws, Thomas Sampson, Hematite, MO and Sammy Sampson, St. Louis, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Frank Williams, Helen Revelle and a half sister, Rose Lawrence; one brother-in-law, Mark Sampson. Ethel was a nurse.
