Douglas L. “Doug” Rorer was born June 24, 1940 in Marion, KY. He was the son of Henry Leonard and Anna Ruth (nee Gilland) Rorer. He died on May 2, 2016 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (nee Hall) Rorer, Cadet, MO; children, Dottie Rorer, De Soto, MO; Patty (Keith) Driver, Marion, KY; Missy (Ken) Fowler, Princeton, KY; Holly (Bobby) Turpin, Princeton, KY; Crystal (Larry) Baxley, Whitmere, S.C.; Step-Daughters, Denise (Jack) Koester, Richwoods, MO; Billie Sansoucie, Richwoods, MO; Stephanie Lucas, Arnold, MO; son-in-law, Bo Pinson, Cadet, MO; siblings, Phyllis (Joe) Risner, Marion, KY, Robert (Linda) Deboe, Marion, KY; Don (Dean) Deboe, Marion, KY; 25 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; and 5 Step-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tammy Pinson; siblings, Kenneth Deboe, John Ed Deboe, Phillip Rorer, and Pauline Lee; one grandson, Kane Lawless. Doug served in the U.S. Navy. A memorial service is to be held at a later date.
