Dorothy G. “Gerri” Lewis was born June 22, 1921, in Liberty, MO, a daughter to the late Edward and Lottie (nee Cole) Manwarring. She died January 2, 2009, in Crystal City, MO at the age of 87. She was married to David Wesley Lewis on August 24, 1940 and to this union four children were born. Surviving are her daughters: Phyllis (Sonny) Kennedy, Festus; Judy (Bill) Jetton, Jackson; sons: Greg (Beth) Lewis, Pensacola, FL; and Gary Lewis, Highland, IN; sisters: Una Mae Werner, Ripon, CA; and Fern Affolter, Maplewood; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband, two brothers: Jim and Stan Manwarring and two sisters: Colene Affolter and Jewell Copeland. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the First Baptist Church-De Soto
