Dorothy “Sissy” Bingham-Douthit was born in De Soto on Nov. 21, 1947 a daughter to Raymond and Gertrude (nee Evans) Kelly. She died a Mercy Hospital-Jefferson on October 7, 2020 at the age of 72. She is survived by her daughter Nicole (Bill) Bingham-Wilson, De Soto; two sisters: Charlotte “Cookie” (Bruce) Aubuchon, Tiff and Lorna “Tiny” Nichols, St. Louis; four brothers: Richard “Mike” (Shyan) Kelly, Las Vegas, Charles (Bert) Kelly, Festus, Rodney (Bonnie) Kelly, De Soto, and Randy Kelly, De Soto; a sister-in-law Peggy Bingham, De Soto, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John “B.J.” Douthit, and her brother Donald Bingham. Dorothy had retired from the Red Wing Shoe Factory in Potosi. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108. Due to COVID-19 concerns services will be held privately.
