Andrew Scott Huffman was born in Crystal City on February 14, 1972, a son to Edgar Frank and Karen Jean (nee Caldwell) Huffman. He died on February 21, 2024 at his home in De Soto at the age of 52. A 1990 graduate of De Soto High, Andrew was an electrician by trade and most recently had worked rehabbing homes in the De Soto area. He was a very outgoing person who enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and listening to music. He had especially enjoyed performing in the choirs at De Soto High School and while attending Jefferson College. He enjoyed time spent at all the family activities at the Huffman Family Farm. He is survived by his parents, his son Alec Caldwell Huffman, Cape Girardeau; his daughter Molly Kate Huffman, De Soto; his grandmother Doris Caldwell Hale, De Soto; his sister Amy (Dan) Hickman, De Soto; his nephews Wyatt and Carson Hickman; his aunts Brenda Halton, De Soto; Stella (Randy) Hyde, Imperial; Ginger (Mark) Blake, Derby, Kansas; his uncle Rod (Karen) Caldwell, De Soto and his dear friend, Claudia Torres Pena, Madrid , Spain; many cousins and his little dog, Penny. He is preceded in death by grandparents Howard Caldwell, Frank and Bessie Lou Huffman and uncle Larry Halton. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1004 Rock Road, De Soto, MO 63020.
